PRESCRIBING INFORMATION
Composition: Each chewable, butterscotch-flavoured Chewcal tablet contains:

Vitamin D 2.5 meg (1 OOiu) 50
Calcium 400 mg 50
(Calcium Carbonate 1040 mg)
* RDA = EC Recommended Daily Allowance

Indications: Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body and is essential for the maintenance of: • Strong bones and healthy teeth ¦ Normal muscle, blood clotting and nerve function Vitamin D is required for the absorption of calcium. Healthcrafts Chewcal tablets have a pleasant butterscotch flavour and two tablets provide the full EC Recommended Daily Allowance for both Vitamin D and Calcium. Chewcal tablets may be chosen by: • Women during and after menopause • Pregnant women (on doctor's advice) and lactating mothers • Elderly and children who may have an increased requirement for calcium Chewcal tablets are also suitable as an alternative source of calcium for people allergic to milk and people who find tablets difficult to swallow. Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose of Chewcal is one to two tablets per day, with food or as per direction of the physician. Contra-indications, Warnings and Side Effects: Do not exceed the stated dosage. Storage Precautions: ¦ Keep out of the reach of children. ¦ Do not use if cap seal is broken. • Store in a cool, dry place (below 25°C). • Do not use after the expiry date. Further information: Chewcal tablets do not contain any artificial colours, preservatives, gluten, yeast, milk derivatives or salt.
